Ron’s Welcome

May 4th, 2008

Thank you for visiting the Verb For Shoe website and the Chronicles.  I am sure by now, you have viewed several components of the website and experienced quite a bit. Perhaps the website shattered earlier ideas you may have had about marketing a cutting-edge product. We are doing something really different here. Rather than saying just buy the shoe with the latest technology just because it’s the “in gadget”, we are building an entire experience that makes the technology an integral part of the shoe’s style, and therefore more interesting.

In this blog, I will attempt to report on how people around the world react to and experience Verb For Shoe.  I will also try to answer any questions you have and provide a behind-the-scenes view of our operation.

Thank you for visiting and come back often. Don’t forget to register for the videocast here and visit the forum.

How is Verb For Shoe Different from Nike+ and Adidas-1?

May 4th, 2008

The Actual Shoe

This is probably the biggest question some people might want to know.  So I’ll take a stab at it..  Let me first start by saying, I commend Nike and Adidas for taking some chances and trying to be different. That’s really hard to do in this industry.

Both Nike and Adidas products focus exclusively on runners.  The adidas-1 product attempts to improve performance and the Nike+ product attempts to assist in training.  The focus of both of those products is completely on functionality.  Additionally, both of these products have a technology vibe rather than a style vibe.

Verb For Shoe’s focus is not just technology, but style as well.  The shoe has a signature look for a reason: We want you to enter a room and get noticed for being different (in a kewl way).

Yes, you could argue that with its “state-of-the-art wireless communication”, “cutting-edge air bladder system”, and “breakthrough motion analysis algorithm”, the Verb For Shoe product is “the most technologically advanced shoe in the world”.  But we are not about just that.  We think you should be able to enjoy the benefits of technology and be stylish at the same time.

Verb For Shoe Is For Real.

May 4th, 2008

Verb for shoe is not hype, it is real! After looking at this massive website, some you may be questioning whether our product is just a bunch of hype. I will admit that we did a lot to provide a unique experience for visitors, but it all goes back to our core values. We are fusing the worlds of technology and fashion together in a way that everybody (not just techies) can enjoy. So this is not some “bulky contraption “we are selling only to nerds. Verb For Shoe is basically the smart shoe for all of us.

Countdown to Videocast

It’s happening June 14, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. Mark that down, and stop playing Grand Theft Auto 4. It would help us greatly, if you would tell us what kind of stuff you would like to see during the videocast and what questions you want answered.

So What’s with The Music (Enigma Rayne)?

May 4th, 2008

You are not alone if you think the music is quite different. That was intentional. I wanted to build an experience that would really be different than any other website. So music was a big part of it. There are no pop music, or cheesy music loops involved at all. It is a 100% original music composition that was designed to be different and set a vibe.
